Water Service Interruption Notice
December 12, 2025
Residents on Greenbriar Lane, Hurst Road, Blackberry Lane, Huckleberry Court, and the 5000–5400 blocks of Walnut Drive will experience a temporary water service shutoff on December 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This interruption is necessary to support construction for the Walnut Drive Earthquake Recovery and Resiliency Project. The grant-funded project—supported by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES)—will relocate critical sewer and water infrastructure away from slide-prone areas along Walnut Drive between Hurst Street and Northridge Road.
Each affected home has received a notice. For questions, please contact the Humboldt Community Services District.
These improvements reflect HCSD’s ongoing commitment to strengthening system reliability and emergency preparedness. By rerouting utilities away from unstable ground, the District is taking proactive steps to protect essential services and enhance community safety in the event of a seismic event.
We appreciate residents’ patience as we work to ensure the continued delivery of reliable and safe utility services to the community.
