Humboldt Community Services District Encourages all Ratepayers to Participate in the Hazard Mitigation Plan Community Survey

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) is collaborating with Humboldt Community Services District and 24 other local jurisdictions to update the Humboldt County Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) and invites you to share your input.

The updated plan advances the county’s ongoing efforts to reduce potential risks from natural disasters. Originally developed in 2007, the hazard mitigation plan is regularly updated to stay current, comply with the federal Disaster Mitigation Act and maintain the county’s eligibility for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding.
