Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District
Scheduled Maintenance – Tuesday and Thursday, November 18 and 20, 2025
The Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District will be performing planned maintenance on our Domestic Water Tank from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m on Tuesday, November 18 and Thursday November 20, 2025.
This work involves installing two expansion joints to improve the tank's seismic resilience and will require a temporary system shutdown for approximately 12 hours.
What does this mean for you:
- Most customers will continue to have normal water service with no anticipated water service interruptions.
- We ask all customers located in McKinleyville, Arcata, Blue Lake, Fieldbrook, Eureka, Pine Hill, Cutten, Rosewood, Myrtletown, Humboldt Hill, Fields Landing, King Salmon, Pigeon Point, Freshwater, Manila, and the Samoa Peninsula to conserve water during this time, when possible.
- If your service is directly affected, you have already been notified by the District and/or local municipalities or community services districts.
