The HCSD Board of Directors is comprised of five elected officials. They meet twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in the Boardroom adjacent to the facility lobby.

I am a retired building contractor, born and raised in Eureka, and have lived within the District service area for the past 50 years.  My wife and I have two adult children who also reside in the District.
 
It has been my pleasure to serve as a Director on the HCSD Board since August 2011.  Additionally, I have served on numerous community projects including:  Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District, Ruth Lake Community Services District, St. Bernards Crusader Athletic Board, and Eureka Babe Ruth Baseball.

Born and raised within District boundaries, I graduated from Eureka High School in 1984 and HSU in 1991 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in economics.  In 1989 established Bongio Construction and have developed approximately 50 properties within the District under District Codes, Regulations, Permitting, etc.  In 2002, following my father Aldo's footsteps, I began serving on the HCSD Board of Directors always striving to ensure compliance and set policies to keep water and sewer rates as low as possible while maintaining excellent service to the District's customers.  I also currently serve on the Humboldt County Planning Commission and have served as a Board Member with the North Coast Homebuilders and St. Bernard's Catholic School.

Years of practical experience and institutional knowledge of the District are strengths I possess that will ensure continued leadership for the customers of the District.
 
On a personal level, I have been married to my wife, Mary, since 1991, and we have two wonderful sons, Logan and Luke.  I have been active in youth sports for many years coaching soccer, baseball, and football.  In my free time, I also enjoy fishing, hunting, and snow skiing.
